The Most Remote Island

(Commisioned)

In 2023, I traveled as Director of Photography to Tristan da Cunha — the most remote inhabited island on Earth — for a film project directed by Jaime Calachi. Shot entirely by just the two of us, the production followed a 15-day voyage across the South Atlantic by boat, to an island with no airport, very limited internet connection, and just over 250 inhabitants. We had less than two weeks to film a TV spot and a short documentary. The result is a visual exploration of isolation, endurance, and human connection in one of the planet’s last untouched outposts.

Tristan da Cunha, South Atlantic. October 2023. Made with Attic Films for CaixaBank.
